Copenhagen

Last weekend I went to Copenhagen with my family, it was very cold and snowy and pretty. Also full of comedy moments, the best being my sister knocking over a full pint of beer over my Mum which cost almost 5 pounds (it's quite expensive). I really like the city, it had really cool buildings and statues everywhere.

The water was completely frozen over, and walking down the streets enormous blocks of ice would just fall off the roofs of the buildings, quite disconcerting, we walked closer to the road when we discovered this.

On the way home our plane was delayed because of snow in Manchester, it gave me a good eight hours to doodle which helped pass the time, it turned into a sort of journal/documentation of our trip, and has alot to do with how much I would have rather been home than stuck in an airport! I collected some cool leaflets, postcards, newspapers and things from places we visited.

Inky

I have recently discovered a love for ink and have started doing alot of inky drawings. I love it even though I always manage to get it all over the place. It is much fun.

Lots of tea

There is nothing better than a cup of tea at the end of a long day, I think I may like it a bit too much, and drink it a little too much. It goes with all the best foods, and is just generally pretty good. So I decided it would be good to include as part of a self portrait project I was doing. I asked my family and friends to write down how they make a cup of tea, as everyone has there own rituals and ways of doing it. Sugar. No sugar. Milk. No milk. (personally I think sugar ruins tea, but anyways..) I got really into the idea of paper cutting with a craft knife and started create stencils out of these different tea making techniques. Now there is a whole section of my project devoted to tea.
